Winter Fun Runs & more...

'Tis the season.  It's getting cold outside and it's getting harder and harder to motivate yourself to get those miles in.  We have a solution, the Two Rivers Running Club Winter Fun Runs.  Our first Winter Fun Run will take place on Sunday, December 5th at 2pm.  It is the Hot Chocolate Prediction Run.  The run is approximately 3.6 miles.  The location will be the OxBow Park Cottonwood Shelter.  The cost for the run is $3.00 per person..no shirts, no frills, just lots of fun out in the cold...hot chocolate and snacks provided.  This run is open to everyone, you do not need to be a member to take part in the fun.  The only thing we ask is that you please RSVP that you are attending the run so we have an idea about how many snacks to bring.  You can RSVP us at information@2rrc.org.  We will also have runs in January, February and March, dates will be available soon.

The 2010 Race Series is now officially ended.  We had 15 club members in the adult divisions qualify for year end awards.  We had 7 youth qualify as well.  Congratulations to all of our runners on another great race series.  Preliminary ballots for the 2011 race series will be available soon.

Congratulations to Megan Miller.  Megan qualified for the NCAA Division 3 Women's Cross Country Championships which were held this past Saturday.  Megan completed the 6K course in a time of 22:39.  Great Job Megan!

We are now accepting membership applications for 2011.  The cost of individual membership is $15, and family is $25.  Please visit the membership benefits page for more information.

We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season.

Until next time...happy running(and eating)!
